How do you connect the BYD App to your car?

Linking the BYD App to your car is quick and easy. When your vehicle is handed over, we will be happy to assist you with the following steps:

  • Download the BYD App – the app is available in the App Store (iOS) and the Google Play Store (Android).
  • Create an account – register using the email address that is registered with your BYD dealer and set a password.
  • Connect your car – enter the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) or scan the QR code in your BYD’s vehicle menu. If the QR code does not appear, select on your infotainment screen: Settings > System > Remote control. Still don’t see a QR code? Please contact your BYD dealer.
  • Confirm the connection – follow the on-screen instructions and verify your vehicle via the BYD App.
  • Everything under control! – once the connection is complete, you can remotely control functions, schedule charging sessions and view driving data.

BYD Connect

Have you been driving your BYD for two years already? Then the free data period is coming to an end. This means that features such as navigation, streaming and other connected services will no longer be automatically available. Fortunately, you can easily continue these services with a BYD Connect data subscription. This way, your BYD remains just as smart and connected as on day one.

Good to know

OTA updates (over-the-air updates) will always continue to work, even without a data subscription. Your vehicle will therefore remain fully up to date.
